Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

September 13

Officer assisted with a traffic stop at Longview Road and Fowler Street for no insurance. Citations were issued to the driver. The driver notified officers that he had just obtained insurance and was released on the citations.

Officer observed a golf cart with a headlight out and conducted a traffic stop. As the officer approached the golf cart, he could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage was coming off of the driver’s breath. Driver refused to take a breath test and was arrested for a DUI.

September 14

Officer responded to Taco Bell in reference to a dispute. Complainant stated that while working at Taco Bell the victim told him to call 911 in reference to a man in the parking lot drunk and trying to argue with them. After several tests, offender was arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Richard Street in reference to dogs getting into trash and when residents made a noise to scare the dog, it ran at them. Officer was advised that this was the second time this had happened. A citation was issued to the owner.

Officer was dispatched to Jones Avenue in reference to a damaged vehicle report that needed to be made. C/p stated that the back window of the vehicle was busted out at some point during the night.

Officer made contact with c/p/victim at Modoc Road in reference to a report. She stated that a subject driving a newer model vehicle was driving towards her on Center Street. As the offender approached the vehicle, she was holding a pistol and was pointing it at her. When speaking to the offender, she denied having an altercation all together.

Officer was conducting a road check at Calhoun Street and Mary Ann Street for checking license and registration. The offender was not able to maintain balance during her field sobriety test and told officers that she was on prescription drugs. She then admitted to smoking a marijuana blunt. Offender was arrested for DUI drugs.

Officer was conducting a road check and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle that was stopped. Offender was arrested for suspicion of marijuana.

September 15

Officer was dispatched to Central Street in reference to an argument. Upon arrival, officer observed a man using vulgar language towards a female. When asked not to use poor language, he continued to do so, so he was placed under arrest for failure to comply.

September 16

Officer responded to SPD in reference to a walk in report. C/p stated that he took his vehicle to get fixed three years ago and was told that the offender sold his vehicle to a scrap yard. He advised that he did not sell the car to the offender, he just wanted it fixed.

Officer responded to SPD in reference to a walk in report. C/p stated the day before, an acquaintance sent her a picture of a handgun that she believed to belong to c/p. C/p stated that the handgun was being held by her ex-boyfriend in the photo.

Officer responded to SPD for a walk in report. C/p stated that he and his wife were at Walmart when damage was made to their vehicle.

Officer responded to SPD for a walk in report. C/p stated that he hit a pothole while driving and his vehicle began vibrating. Both rear wheels were found to be bent.

Officer responded to SPD for a walk in report. C/p stated that a pothole on Lucky Street caused damage to his vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to Lee Street in reference to someone taking money from an EBT card without permission. C/p stated that three different transactions were made on her card without her permission.

Officer was dispatched to Circle Drive in reference to a report of someone trying to break into a home. C/p stated that she was fixing her husband dinner and heard a noise outside. She also stated that often someone comes under the carport and tries to get in the door. No items were reported missing.

Officer was dispatched to Brown Street in reference to a 15 year old female getting punched in the face by a 17 or 18 year old male. Upon arrival, officer met with c/p and victim. C/p stated that she is the victim’s aunt along with the offender’s aunt. She stated that earlier in the day, she told the offender not to go in the victim’s room. She stated that she left to go to the store and when she returned the victim’s nose was bleeding. The offender stated that the victim pushed him. Victim stated that he came into her room looking for his things, but when she told him they were no longer in there, he continued to look so she got off the bed and yelled at him to get out and he punched her in the face.

September 17

Officers were dispatched to respond to a walk in report. C/p is a city employee and stated that two city water meters have been tampered with.

Officer responded to Turner Drive in reference to a report of harassing communications. C/p stated that she received a text message from a number that she didn’t recognize. She called the number and a man answered. He would not give her his name but told her she knew who he was. She hung up and blocked the number and the offender texted her from another number saying he was about to pull up on her.

Officer responded to SPD in reference to a walk in report. C/p states that he has already made reports over the offender in reference to terroristic threats and damages to his vehicle. A few days before, the offender kicked over his motorcycle causing damage to it.

September 18

Officer met with c/p at SPD in reference to a walk in report. C/p advised that someone has been forging his name at the bank and withdrawing money from his account.

Officer made contact with c/p at city hall in reference to a report. C/p advised that the day before, the offender came to his vehicle and began threatening and cursing at him.

Officer responded to Moring Street for a dispute. C/p stated that offender is saying that she bought the house from Tyler Perry the actor. C/p stated that this is not true that she works with a company that sells houses and that someone else bought the house other than the offender. Offender stated that she paid Tyler Perry $500,000 for the house and that he sent her pictures of it. Offender never got back to officers to show proof of payment.

Officer made contact with c/p in reference to a report. He advised that he was jumped. He advised that the offenders stated that he owes them money for drugs.

Officers were dispatched to South Anderson Street in reference to a call about the owner of the residence advising that she was not home at the time and could see motion being detected at her front door from her cell phone. Officers arrived and all doors were locked. C/p noticed some things being moved and a camera being unplugged.

Officer arrived to KZ Nails in reference to another officer having the offender standing outside of the vehicle due to possession of marijuana. Suspected cocaine was also located. Offender was arrested.

September 19

Officer was dispatched to North Anderson Drive in reference to a missing person. C/p stated that his girlfriend hadn’t been seen for a few days.

Officers received a call from 911 stating that the resident of an apartment had reported a man laying on the floor cold to the touch. C/p stated that her neighbors apartment door was open and when she went to check on him, she found him on the floor. He was proven to be deceased.

September 20

Officers were dispatched to New Street in reference to a domestic in progress. No one was found inside of the residence. When victim was found, she did not want to press charges.
