At the most recent Lions Club business meeting, held at the Lions Clubhouse, the club was honored to have District Governor, Larry Griggers, and his wife, Debbie, District Secretary visit and speak to them about all the endeavors the Lions Club International is involved in to help the international communities down to the local communities. Mr. and Mrs. Griggers, both from Lyons, have traveled many places in the domestic United States and abroad in support and in conjunction with LCI. Mr. Griggers told many heart-warming stories he’s encountered in his years as a Lion, including purchasing a seeing eye dog for a sight impaired student, helping school aged children detect if they need eyeglasses with vision screenings and helping grow his local Lions Club chapter to help as many in the community as his club can.

The club voted to continue to be a Gold Sponsor of Twin City’s upcoming 4th Annual Cottom Blossom Festival. The annual festival attracts many vendors and thousands of people to Twin City each year and the club is proud to be a sponsor of it.
