Kathryn “Kathy” Jordan, age 72, of Twin City, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Funeral service was held Sunday, June 23, at Twin City First Baptist Church at 5 p.m. The family received friends from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church on Sunday, June 23. Interment followed in Twin City-Coleman Cemetery.

Kathy was born in Swainsboro and was the first born and oldest daughter of Jack Walden and Claudene “Tissie” Johnson Walden. She was a member of Twin City First Baptist Church where she was baptized in her formative years. Kathy was currently a member of the Margaret Burrell Sunday School Class. She was a 1970 graduate of ECI and during her high school years, Kathy was very active in sports. She was co-captain of the basketball team and played on the recreation softball team. Kathy loved to dance and loved listening to music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very proud of all of their accomplishments. Kathy received a business administration degree at Swainsboro Technical College. During her working career, Kathy worked in several management positions with various clothing manufacturers. She was the office manager with Pride Manufacturing for many years before Rheumatoid Arthritis required her to retire at an early age. Kathy never met a stranger, and she was a blessing to everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Wayne Grimes; and stepson, Ronald Wayne Grimes, II.

Surviving are her husband, Archie Jordan of Twin City; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jenny Grimes of Metter; stepson, Josh Jordan of Nashville, TN; stepdaughter and husband, Pam and Joey Pittman; two sisters, Suzanne Walden-Wells and husband, Clay Wells of Phoenix, AZ and Debra Bird of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; brother, Andy Walden and wife, Ann of Twin City; grandchildren, Gracie Grimes and Agatha Grimes of Metter, Roslyn Pittman Thompson (Matthew) of Metter and Joseph Pittman of Metter; and several nieces and nephews.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter was in charge of arrangements.
