August 10
Complainant called the office and stated that someone had damaged his fence and gate and let all of his goats out. He stated that all of the goats had returned except for two.
August 12
Deputies responded to a dispute between a male and a female over a cell phone. C/p stated that a man took her phone and would not give it back. Offender showed proof of ownership of the phone and c/p deleted her information from the phone. C/p also stated that the offender had beaten her and it was on camera. Footage showed offender pulling her by the hair, but she did not want to press charges.
Report was made in reference to a subject who was broke down on HWY 1 North at the Jefferson County line. Subject was further reported to have fired off two rounds while on the side of the road. He stated that he fired off the rounds because he was angry about being broke down.
Deputies responded to Parrish Pond Rd in reference to a single vehicle roll over. Victim stated that something ran out in front of him, and he lost control of the vehicle and rolled over.
August 13
Vehicle was recovered from Pendleton Springs Rd and was determined to be stolen out of Montgomery County. Vehicle was unoccupied with the engine running. It appeared that the driver lost control and was unable to remove the vehicle from the ditch.
August 15
Deputies responded to Sycamore Lane in reference to a custody dispute between a mother and father. The father advised that the two did not have a court ordered time that each parent has the child but for the last 6 months, they had a verbal agreement.
August 16
Vehicle was reported and found abandoned with no valid insurance on Canoochee Rd.
August 17
Deputy responded to Ward St in reference to aggressive dogs in c/p’s yard. C/p stated that she walked out to her vehicle to make sure her windows were up and stated that her brother’s large dogs were loose and were barking and growling at her. She stated that one of the dogs had history of attacking her sister.
August 18
Deputies were dispatched to the county jail due to a report. Contact was made with c/p about a possible scam happening to her. She explained that her mother received multiple messages on her Facebook about the c/p stealing a phone in Dallas, Texas. Many of the messages were about c/p asking people for money as well as her stealing money.
Deputy was dispatched to East Broad St due to a civil dispute. Upon arrival, both parties were separated and resolved the issue themselves. Later in the evening, deputies were called back to the same location due to the offender banging on c/p’s door. Offender was visibly irate and screaming. When c/p came out of the house, he was asked what had changed since the first time deputies arrived. He stated that he had no contact with other c/p after his first dealings with him, but the offender tried to take matters into his own hands. Both parties were calmed down and were separated.
Report was made in reference to a verbal dispute turned physical between both stated parties. Alleged suspect was determined to be the primary aggressor. C/p stated that the suspect butted her face and had also thrown a pet dog on her in the course of the altercation. C/p had signs of injury to the face. Offender was arrested.
