August 27

Officer witnessed a vehicle run a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. The officer then found out that the vehicle had no valid insurance. The vehicle was towed, and offender got a ride from the scene.

August 28

Officer responded to SPD in reference to a walk in report. Complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her by calling her phone repeatedly. She provided evidence that she asked the offender to stop contacting her and she moved out of their residence.

Officer was sent by SPD to follow up on a complaint on Brown Street. C/p stated that on the Sunday before, the offender threatened to kill her and his niece. He then busted her television and a window in her home. She was advised of the eviction process.

Officer was dispatched to Calhoun Street in reference to domestic violence. The offender stated that he and his wife had an altercation that escalated. He stated that he slapped his wife and was arrested.

Officer responded to SPD for a walk in report. C/p stated that earlier that morning she received a call from the bank regarding a DoorDash charge that she did not make. She stated that she believes that her cousin has been using her card to DoorDash food.

August 29

Officer noticed someone driving with no seatbelt on and conducted a traffic stop. Due to an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, a search was conducted where marijuana was located. Offender was issued a citation and a verbal warning.

Officer responded to SPD for a walk in report. C/p stated that there was an altercation at Senior Behavioral Center. A patient became angry when told to wait for a second cup of coffee and became violent with a female staff member. Security took control of the patient.

Officer ran the information on a vehicle that came back with no insurance. A traffic stop was conducted, a citation was issued, and the vehicle was towed.

911 dispatched officers to West Main Street in reference to receiving several callers stating a tractor trailer pulled power lines down. Georgia Power and the fire department were dispatched as well and the issue was resolved.

Officer conducted a traffic stop where the driver eluded police. Offender could not be located after drone usage.

August 30

Officer ran the tag on a vehicle that came back with no insurance. Offender obtained insurance and was released.

C/p came to SPD to make a report in reference to damage done to his vehicle.

Officer responded to Brown Street in reference to disputes between family members. Offender was issued a citation for disorderly house.

Officer observed a vehicle obstructing traffic and called a tow truck. Driver advised that it was the transmission and were not happy with the towing company coming.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Lucky Street in reference to a call about shots fired in the area. Officers rode around the area but had negative contact.

August 31

Officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to have a warrant out and was arrested.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle failing to maintain lane of traffic. The driver’s license was found to be suspended and she was arrested.

Officer responded to Enmarket in reference to a report that needed to be made on an individual shoplifting. The individual that shoplifted was identified as a husband of an employee. Offender came back and paid for the items taken.

September 1

911 dispatched officer to West Pine Street in reference to an entering auto. Victim stated that most of his belongings were missing. A report was made and there was no evidence on security cameras.

Officer responded to William Roundtree Road in reference to a report needing to9 be made about harassing messages and posts on Facebook. C/p provided evidence.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with dark tint and a dark tag cover. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Citations were issued.

Officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. An odor of alcoholic beverage was coming from the vehicle upon approaching the driver, so a field sobriety test was conducted. Offender was arrested for DUI and truck was towed.

September 2

911 dispatched officers to respond to Lucky Street in reference to a lost wallet. C/p stated that he went to get food the Thursday before and could not find it after returning home.

Officer responded to a call on East Pine Street in reference to a 911 hang up that was believed to be a possible domestic in progress. Offender could not be located but police were able to get a description.

Officer was dispatched to McLeod Bridge Road in reference to a dispute that had already occurred. C/p stated that her child’s paternal grandmother was on FaceTime with the child earlier in the day when the child claimed to be choking. The mother stated that she did not show any signs of harm so she did not take her to the hospital. Later in the day, the childs grandparents got into an argument with the c/p’s boyfriend. Officers arrived on scene and offenders stated they were just worried about the child’s well-being. After examining the child, officers found her to be breathing and talking normally. C/p requested a criminal trespass be issued to offender.

Officer was dispatched to the Sunset Inn in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. C/p provided video footage of offender in an irate state. In the footage offender was seen hitting himself in the face causing marks. Offender was arrested.

September 3

Officer responded to North Main Street in reference to a theft report. C/p stated that sometime in the evening prior, someone was caught on camera taking up their survey markers that had just been placed in the ground. C/p also stated that she has also reported that tires were being stolen from the business as well.

Officer responded to SPD in reference to a walk in report. C/p stated that her ex-boyfriend came to her apartment and she asked him to leave and stop contacting her. When offender went to leave, he slashed c/p’s tire. C/p was able to get video footage of the crime and a criminal trespass was issued.

September 4

Officer assisted ECSO with a traffic stop on South Main Street. The offender was stopped for failing to dim headlights but had a suspended license. Citation was issued.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no valid insurance. The driver also did not have her license on her. Citations were issued.

Officer was dispatched to a call at Walmart in reference to high schoolers making a lot of noise in the store. While talking to c/p someone else came up to officers saying his phone and money had been taken. White powdery substance was found on this person and a criminal trespass was issued.

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a call about a report. C/p stated that the offender had been seen walking around her job and her boyfriend’s residence. She stated that she got a TPO against him but has been violating it.
