Hermie, the caterpillar

Posted

United Fellowship Baptist Church of Oak Park had VBS on Saturday, June 8. Instead of crafts this year, they decided to do a service project for the community. The children painted rocks and lined them against the Oak Park City Park fence. The rocks represent a caterpillar, Hermie, who represents that you can have a new life, and at the end of the summer, Hermie will turn into a beautiful butterfly.

The children are asking for help. They need a lot more rocks to go around the park and are asking that you paint your rocks and add them to the collection. For more information, call Penny at 478.455.4019.

God changes caterpillars into butterflies, sand into pearls, and coal into diamonds using time and pressure. He’s working on you too! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone, and a new life has begun. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
