The Twin City Lions Club recently held their monthly lunch meeting, and Lion Clark Dixon invited the founders of Weekend Blessings, Angel Lane and Niamh Matthews. Weekend Blessings was founded 10 years ago to help fight childhood hunger in Emanuel County. The organization provides weekend meals during the school year to around 300 children per week. Donations of time, Bibles, food and grocery bags are always appreciated and can be dropped off in Swainsboro at South Auction on East Main Street at any time. The Twin City Lions Club donated $500 to this great organization that has been such a blessing to so many in our county.
