Keep Emanuel Beautiful gets boost from Mill Creek Foundation

Posted

Keep Emanuel Beautiful held its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 20, in the County Commissioners Board Room of the Coleman County Office Building. A big announcement and a major step forward in the organization’s plans came with notice of a grant approval from Mill Creek to assist in KEB’s funding. This assistance will enable KEB to move along with future efforts in controlling litter and involving the general public in awareness and action. Upcoming activities for the group include a ”Fall Clean Sweep” cleanup in the Canoochee and Twin City areas, efforts to involve area schools in KEB programs, discussions with various government agencies on activating a recycling program for the county, and continuation of the PLEASE DON’T LITTER billboard campaign with Uncle Birdy. KEB’s next meeting will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Franklin Memorial Library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome.
