On August 24 , A&O Men’s Center and Elder Keith McKinney sponsored a rally at the Boneyard Pavilion to bring public safety, school administrators, government officials and a crowd of local citizens together. Stop the Violence, Bullying and Gang Shootings, was the theme of the “Summer Bash” and Emanuel County School Superintendent Denise Warnock, Deputy Sheriff Nick Robinson, Sergeant Josh Bedgood, City Administrator Herman Middlebrooks and others were on hand to discuss the related problems and issues. In thanking local supporters, Walmart, Jendyke Manufacturing, Famous Credit, Custom Furniture and Chapman Funeral Home, Elder McKinney stated that more than 70 local school students rededicated their lives to Christ during the day’s events.
