George L. Smith State Park will be having a Junior Ranger Camp July 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. where kids aged 7-11 can join their rangers for fun activities such as nature hikes, observation of wildlife, outdoor safety, fishing and a closer look inside the Mill House. They will receive their Junior Ranger Badge at the end of the day. Cost is $25 per kid. You can call 478-763-2759 to register. Kids will need to take a bag lunch and drinks, sunscreen and bug spray. This is an outdoor event, so dress accordingly.
