Family Connection conducted a week-long cooking camp called Emanuel Chopped Jr. for student’s in second through third grade. Twenty students participated in the camp to learn cooking skills, nutrition facts, and be a part of the competition with fellow chefs.

Family Connection is able to put on this fun summer camp for students with funding from the Mill Creek Foundation, Aetna/CVS Health, and donated space from the Franklin Memorial Library. The Family Connection Collaborative partners volunteered many hours for students to have the opportunity to taste new foods and prepare challenging recipes.

Thanks to Pam Carr, Petite Garrett, Wanda Ellis, and Sunny Rogers and grandson Pierce for assisting the chefs as they prepared their culinary creations. Also, thanks to the judges, Matt Jarrell, Kayla Williams, Dione Gamble, and Ann Rogers.
