The Emanuel County Historic Society will host its July meeting on Thursday, July 27. We hope you’ll want to get in from the heat and come to the Varner 4-H Center at 7 p.m. We’ll have our usual potluck supper so please bring a dish to share. Drinks will be furnished. The program will be on how to tell the age of an old photograph. Many of us have such photos in our collections, many unnamed, many undated. Perhaps this information will enable us to solve at least some of the problems. We had a nice turnout for the open house and annual meeting in the pouring rain in April. Many folks from out-of-town brought their umbrellas and enjoyed the museum. Saturday, October 21, we will have another Open House from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Remember no admission is ever charged.
