On Thursday, August 24, America Knits was awarded with their Georgia Made Certificate of Designation, certifying that their NEWLY LAUNCHED brand seeds2seams.com is “Georgia Made”. CEO Steve Hawkins said, “the Georgia Made certification means the supply chain has been reviewed and verified by the Georgia Made board. It brings authenticity to our brand and helps us tell our story about the great things done right here.”
The certification is issued and managed by the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Certification occurs on a product-by-product basis. For a company to receive this certification, they must demonstrate that each product seeking certification is 50% or more manufactured in Georgia.
“The most important part is that America Knits brand, Seeds to Seams, was certified as Georgia Made.” Hawkins explained, “Just like anything else that’s Georgia Made, our products went before a board to prove that they are Georgia Made. This certification means a lot to us because this is home.”
