Tori Pellerin earns title of Georgia Certified Plant Professional

Posted

Congratulations to Emanuel County Institute Agriculture teacher Mrs. Tori Pellerin, who has earned the title of Georgia Certified Plant Professional.

The Georgia Certified Plant Professional (GCPP) program certifies those in the profession who have mastered a thorough knowledge and understanding of job skills required to be successful in the horticulture industry.

The Georgia Certified Plant Professional exam consists of a written exam and a plant identification exam. The written test is based on a study manual available through the UGA Center for Urban Agriculture and features 100 multiple-choice questions and the second portion of the exam is plant identification which consists of 100 plant specimens. Mrs. Pellerin attended class in July where she mastered the certification.
