Swainsboro Kiwanis Club holds meeting

The Swainsboro Kiwanis Club held its Tuesday meeting on October 15, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Rustic Grill. With President Paul Cerpovicz presiding, they had 13 members in attendance and two guests, Oskar Cerpovicz and Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz. The cake donated by President Cerpovicz was won by Paul Cerpovicz, Cheryl Goodman won the Dominos’ Pizza and Gary Couse won the Halloween pumpkin provided by Dianna Wedincamp. Immediate Past-President Cheryl Goodman gave the 2023-2024 Kiwanian-of-the-Year Award to Tim Goodman. They have been asked to help with the Swainsboro Fall Festival scheduled for October 26. The EGSC Circle K will be assisting with the EGSC Trunk-or-Treat on October 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. on the EGSC campus grounds. A Lick-or-Treat is scheduled at Tractor Supply on October 26. The Kiwanis club has a Fall Gun Raffle that will start in November. Dianna Wedincamp reported on Kiwanis providing breakfast for workers who came to Swainsboro to help recover from the hurricane. The EGSC Circle K also stuffed and presented goody bags to the workers. Cheryl Goodman reported presentations of our last set of checks for 2023-2024 to East Georgia State College and Southeastern Technical College. The program for the evening was the annual presentation of the 2024-2025 Kiwanis Directory to the members by President Cerpovicz and the annual Kiwanis Youth Protection training given by Education Chairman Tim Goodman.
