Swainsboro High School’s competition cheer program continued its race toward excellence on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Houston County Cheerleading Invitational, where both Varsity and Junior Varsity squads put on strong performances that showed growth, determination, and Tiger pride.
The Varsity Tigers took the mat with confidence, unveiling a brand-new entry that energized the crowd. Weeks of conditioning and routine refinement paid off as the team executed with precision, earning first place against nine other competitive squads. Their efforts not only secured the top spot but also improved upon last week’s score, proving that steady progress and focused training are propelling the team forward.
The Junior Varsity Tigers also demonstrated resilience and dedication. Despite injuries and choreography changes during the week, JV athletes pushed through adversity and delivered a routine that improved their score from the previous competition. Their performance was a testament to the team’s grit and commitment to finishing strong, no matter the challenges.
With both squads’ showing measurable improvement and momentum building, the Tigers are setting their sights on the next stop of their competition journey at Buford High School where Varsity will take the floor on Saturday at 3 p.m.
For Swainsboro Cheer, the Houston County competition was not just another stop along the way but another lap in the race toward greatness. With each performance, the program continues to prove that focus, perseverance, and teamwork are the keys to finishing strong.
