Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

April 20

Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to a damaged vehicle. C/p advised that the listed vehicle was parked on Rentz Street and c/p had walked away from the vehicle. Upon return there appeared to be two bullet holes in the driver’s side.

Officer responded to Gumlog Road in reference to a group of people arguing and fighting.

Officer had a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated she noticed a dent and scratches on the front right side of her vehicle. She was not sure where is happened but believed it happened at Walmart.

April 21

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a previously occurred shoplifting. Contact was made with Walmart Asset Protection who stated he was made aware of a woman who had stolen an air compressor and a pressure washer and other unknown items. After leaving Swainsboro Walmart, she then went to Vidalia Walmart and was arrested for shoplifting.

A warrant was served and offender was also charged with a DUI.

April 22

Officer was dispatched to North Central Street in reference to a call about needing to remove a subject from the residence. Upon arrival, officers met with c/p who stated that her son had been breaking some of her house items. He was placed under arrest and transported to EMC to be checked up on. He was later picked up by his mother and was issued a citation due to his mental state.

April 23

Offender was arrested for DUI.

Offender was arrested for possession of marijuana and fleeing/attempting to elude police.

Officer was dispatched to Lewis Street in reference to a report. C/p stated that offender punched her on the left side of her face.

April 24

Offender was arrested for possession and use of a drug related object.

April 25

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to a damaged vehicle. C/p stated that her vehicle was hit on the Saturday prior while she was sleeping in her apartment.

Offender was arrested for suspicion of DUI drugs.

Officer noticed a vehicle fail to use turn signal along with the odor of marijuana coming off the vehicle. Several drug related objects were located in the vehicle. Offender was arrested.

April 26

Officer met with c/p in reference to making a report. She advised that she had a 12 month family violence protective order against offender. She stated that another woman contacted her via text message stating that the offender wanted to text her to see where their son was.

Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack Street in reference to a report. C/p stated that she let a male subject borrow her vehicle and then upon its return there was a lot of damage to the front bumper along with it being held together by a zip tie.

April 27

Officer was on South Main Street checking insurance when a vehicle came back having no insurance. Vehicle was towed and driver was issued a citation.

Officer was dispatched to Maurice Drive in reference to a white van that had been on the side of the road for several hours. The vehicle had insurance but no registration so it was towed to Daniel’s.

Officer was dispatched to South Coleman Street in reference to a break in. A CB radio, a pair of work gloves, and a gallon of oil was taken.

April 28

Officer arrested an offender for DUI and no insurance.
