September 4

Officer was dispatched to W. Moring St. in reference to a dispute. The female caller advised the male subject was going to get a gun. Upon arrival, offender was sitting under the carport and was searched to find no weapons. Offender stated he grabbed the gun from inside the house and placed it in his truck. Offender also stated the argument started because c/p’s son called and was asking them for $40,000 and c/p got upset when offender told them no. Offender stated the argument was just verbal and never physical. Officer spoke with c/p who stated the same thing.

Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to her ex-boyfriend harassing her. C/p explained that she and her ex use to live together until she woke up to offender choking her to the point she lost consciousness. C/p stated she kicked offender out and he has harassed her ever since by calling her from blocked numbers and tells c/p that if he catches someone at her house, she won’t like the outcome. C/p stated she is scared of offender escalating the issue. Officer explained the TPO process to c/p.

Officer responded to Hopkins St. in reference to a stolen TV and laptop from the residence.

Complainant stated he was told by a named individual attempted to sell the items to a male subject, but the male subject did not buy them. C/p stated he and the male subject are distantly related but not really associated and the male subject was not invited into his home.

Officer was dispatched to E. Pine St. in reference to damage to storage buildings. Complainant stated she rented a storage unit to offender, and she is behind on her payment.

Officer was dispatched to Stevens Dr. in reference to complainant stating someone went inside her mailbox and stole a phone that was delivered to her.

Officer observed a vehicle cut through a side street and he got behind it and ran the tag to find it had no insurance, at which time he made a traffic stop. Officer approached the vehicle and asked the driver for his license to be told he did not have them. Officer asked for his name and DOB to find he was suspended . Officer approached offender and advised him he was under arrest and as he was cuffed, he began to resist and attempted to flee on foot. Offender was advised to stop resisting or he would be tased and he was subdued. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

September 5

Officers were dispatched to S. Racetrack St. in reference to the owner waking up to multiple individuals tapping on his windows. Complainant stated he heard multiple individuals around his house making noise and tapping on the windows and this was the second the same night and both times, offenders ran off behind his house. C/p stated he believes they were going through his property looking for something to steal.

Officer met with complainant at SPD to make a report on stolen money. C/p stated he last saw his credit card on 9/1 and noticed it was being used and was unable to cancel it due to the banks being closed. C/p advised he filed a report through his bank.

Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to an incident that occurred on the day prior. C/p stated two offenders went to his house and started arguing with him and offender #2 was making claims that c/p got her fired. C/p stated offender #2 began to swing at him with a frying pan and offender #3 started to attack his girlfriend. C/p stated he called 911 during the incident but offenders were gone when officers arrived and soon after that, a group of males stopped at his house and began making threats at him. C/p stated he showed offenders he was armed and told them he would protect himself if he had to.

September 6

Officer responded to Washington Ave. in reference to damage to a vehicle. Complainant stated she thinks her vehicle was hit while parked in front of her residence.

Officer was dispatched to Family Dollar in reference to vehicle damage.

Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to a key belonging to c/p’s vehicle being lost in WalMart. C/p stated an employee found the key and turned it in to customer service but no one seems to know anything about the key.

Officer was dispatched to Elaine Dr. in reference to a group of people throwing toilet paper at the property. C/p stated the group stated it was Homecoming week at ECI and he don’t want offender punished, he just wants them to clean up his yard.

September 7

Officer observed a vehicle traveling 53 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer asked the driver for her license and ran her info through SC to find that her registration was suspended due to no insurance and her license were suspended. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
