Fourteen members of the Brier Creek, Wiregrass and Little River Chapters Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution and the President of the South Carolina Society Sons of the American Revolution traveled to Ebenezer, GA, for the annual Ebenezer Heritage Day Festival on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023. This event is held year with food, crafts, exhibits, demonstrations, activities and all are welcome with free admission. The event is proudly presented by the Georgia Salzburger Society and the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rincon, GA. Starting at 10 a.m. and on each hour with the last being 1 p.m., Brier Creek militia (14 members) fired a one-round volley with flintlocks and the Brier Creek Artillery (5 cannons) fired a one-round volley followed by Compatriot Don Bazemore playing taps on his bugle.
