Reverend George "Tom" Harrison, 95, entered into rest Monday, June 24, 2024, at his resi-dence in Bartow. Funeral services were held Friday morning June 28, at 10 a.m. from the Wadley Baptist Church with Gary Hutchins and Reverend David Brown officiating. Visita-tion was one hour before the funeral and after the graveside service returning to the Wadley Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Shane Womack, John Eric Harrison, Thomas Harrison, Mitchell Roberson, Matt Roberson, Carl Harrison and Wyatt Harrison. Honorary pallbearers were Tom's Sunday School class and the Deacons of Wadley Baptist Church.

Tom was born November 10, 1928, in Washington County, to the late Harvey G. Harrison, Sr. and Thelma Elise Toole Harrison. He attended Georgia Tech and graduated from Mercer University and received a master’s degree from Southern School of Theology. Tom was the first Eagle Scout in Washington County. He was the Founder and Administrator of Glendale Nursing Home in Wadley. Tom pastored several churches in both Jefferson and Laurens County and retired from the Wadley Baptist Church. Mr. Harrison is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 64 years, Betty Ann Greenway Harrison; daughter, Becky Ann Harrison; and son, Christopher A. Harrison.

Left to cherish his memories include his daughter, Luanne Harrison Boulineau (Larry) of Louisville; son, Thomas Ivey "Sonny" Harrison, II of Bartow; granddaughter, Shannen Rob-erson (Jamie) of Bartow; grandsons, Shane Womack (Casey) of Dublin, Thomas Harrison (Etole) of Bartow, Carl Harrison (Misty) of Gainesville, Wyatt Harrison of Sandersville and John Eric Harrison of Atlanta; two daughters-in-law, Bonnie Harrison of Sandersville and Karen Harrison of Wrens; daughter, Benita Frey (Fritz) of Evans; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, it is the request of the family that memorials be made to the Wadley Bap-tist Church Roofing Fund.

Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
