Martha Lee Seays Tarver, age 70, of Garfield, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. A Homecoming Service was held Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at God’s Holy Tabernacle in Twin City with Pastor Amos Handsom Jr. officiating and Pastor Terry Brown presiding. Interment followed at Parris Grove Church Cemetery.
Martha was born December 24, 1952, in Jefferson County, to the late Arthur and Mamie Lawrence Seays. Mrs. Tarver is preceded in death by her parents; son, Charlie Tarver Jr.; and sister, Mary Seays Tarver.
Mrs. Tarver is survived by her husband, Charlie Tarver of Garfield, children, Charlie M. (Loraine) Tarver of Annapolis, MD, Sabrina Renae Tarver and Lance Tarver, both of Garfield; and Michael Anthony Tarver of Harlingen, TX; sister, Sarah Seays Burke of Metter; grandchildren, Sabrina Nicole Tarver and Danielle Lee Tarver, both of Annapolis, MD, Audrey Tarver and Jeremiah Tarver, both of Garfield; aunt, Alzata Brown of Statesboro; sister-in-law, Johnnie Louise Brown of Twin City; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
