For some reason this phrase keeps ringing in my head. "...light in darkness, my God, that is who you are.". Yes, a light in darkness. We need the light as this world is getting darker by the minute.
Oh yes, we have advancements happening faster than we can comprehend. It seems in the carnal world that things are getting brighter and better. We have technology beyond our comprehension. Cars are now telling you that you are driving too close. The car tells you that the car ahead of you has just pulled off. These are just minor things that will make you think that we are advancing.
But there is another side of life. That side is abstract. The things which are not seen. Things that are destructive and dangerous which cannot be controlled by man. The darkness of this world is presented in some of these: hatred, greed, wars, murders, jealousy, broken relationships, and the list goes on. No, technology cannot control these.
We need light during these dark times.
In the beginning, God said, " Let there be light and there was light. (Gen.1:3). Also, John 1:4 tells us about Jesus. " In him was life; and the life was the light of men. The light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Our life today needs the light of Jesus Christ, for he is the light of the world.
He is truly the savior of the world. Study the light for yourself. No one wants to be in darkness. Let the light of the life of Jesus shine in your heart today for Jesus is the living Word. He is truly a light in every dark place in your life if you will only let him. He is our light in darkness. Walk in the light.
