Mr. Lee “Man” Jones Jr., age 75, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, June 24, at 11 a.am. a St. Philip Baptist Church with Rev. Alfred Cason officiating and Overseer Jerry D. Bartley presiding.
Lee Jones Jr. was born April 8, 1948, in Swainsboro, to the late Bishop Lee and Annel Jones. He graduated from Emanuel County High School in 1965. Man was drafted in the US Army in 1967, and served as Drill Sgt. During the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Labor Union in Asbury Park, NJ. Mr. Jones recently joined the Veterans at the Library and participated in Wreaths Across America. He was very diligent about any job he did. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Henry, Julia Mae, Joe Lewis, Alma, Archibald and Solomon.
Mr. Jones leaves to mourn his passing with his son, Kelvin Jones of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Lesheia Anderson of Newark, NJ; honorary son, Mark Walker and honorary daughter, Halimah Jacobs, both of NJ; two granddaughters; six sisters; one brother; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
