The Lady Eagles defeated the Thomas Jefferson Lady Jaguars at home on Tuesday, February 3, by a score of 57–27, improving to 7–0 in region play.
Addalyn Terwilliger led the Eagles in scoring with 14 points. Aubrey Williams followed with an all-around performance, finishing with 13 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Kaley Flowers added a dominant double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds, along with 3 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals. Bailey McNure and Emily McRae each contributed 4 points. Rayleigh Faircloth added 4 points and 6 rebounds, while Aubrey Scott finished with 5 steals. Lyla Martin rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
The Lady Eagles controlled the game from start to finish, outscoring the Lady Jaguars 12–7 in the first quarter and 14–7 in the second quarter to take a 12-point lead into halftime. The Eagles continued to extend the lead in the third quarter, scoring 17 points while holding the Jaguars to 6, and closed the game by outscoring Thomas Jefferson 14–7 in the fourth quarter. With the win, the Lady Eagles clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Region Tournament, which begins Thursday, February 12, at Thomas Jefferson Academy.
