Have you voted yet?

Polling precincts for today’s runoff election opened doors at 7 a.m. this morning and will remain open until 7 p.m. this afternoon. If you haven’t cast your vote yet, be sure to do so. Every vote counts!

To be noted:

Voters must stick with the party selected in the primary, that being republican or democrat.

Only voters who cast nonpartisan ballots in the primary election may vote either way in today’s election. Individuals who did not cast votes in the primary election are also eligible to vote in today's runoff election.

With the special state senate race being nonpartisan, everyone is eligible to vote in this runoff race as long as they live in the Senate’s 4th District.

Not every polling location in Emanuel County is eligible to vote in the State Senate--District 4 election. This jurisdiction only covers parts of the county. Ineligible to vote for State Senate—District 4 are Garfield, Twin City, Canoochee, Summertown, Crossing Green, and Blundale. Voters at these six precincts should not expect to see the regular race nor the special election for District 4 on their ballots.

The Blade will be going live for part 2 of Election Night Live leading up to the general election. Broadcasting will begin around 6:55 p.m. tonight. To watch, visit Emanuel County Live on Facebook. The Blade will have reporters at every precinct waiting for results. Those reporters will forward the results to a reporter live on Facebook for up-to-the-minute election results. Stay tuned!
