Mr. Harry Lacy Jones, 78, of Swainsboro, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro following an extended illness. A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date.
Mr. Jones was born July 9, 1944, to Carl Jones and Emma Lee Samples Jones. He retired from the Georgia Corrections Industries. Harry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl Jones, Jr., Pete Jones, Ray Jones, and George Jones; sisters, Bess Jones and Rosemary Womack.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Judy Jones of Swainsboro; sons, Bill Bailey (Cathy) of Elkhart, TX, Mark Bailey (Terri) of Braswellton, and Rusty Bailey of Swainsboro; sister, Carlous Ann Robb (Steve) of Midway; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
