Mrs. Carolyn “Candy” Barber Carroll, 41, of East Dublin, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 20, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral home with Reverend Joe Bedgood officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at Chapman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rich Cemetery in Swainsboro.
Pallbearers are Chris McCullars, Devin Ward, Tommy Davis, Tyler Davis, Tommy Hadden, Charles Purvis, Matt Tompkins and Robert Fail. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Loyd and Dilion Cowart.
Candy was born November 24, 1981, in Augusta, to Greg Barber and the late Debra Purvis Barber. Mrs. Carroll is preceded in death by her mother; and maternal grandparents, Sam and Carolyn Purvis.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by her father; husband, Raymond “Donut” Paul Carroll, Jr.; sons, Justice Carroll and Rhyland Carroll; daughter, Raleigh Carroll; brother, Jonathon (Ashley) Barber, all of East Dublin; nephew, Garrett Barber; several special cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
