Cameron Scarboro celebrates third birthday

It’s a no brainer what kind of party you’ll have when your birthday is in August and the temperature is 97 degrees. You pick your favorite character, Minnie Mouse, and ask your family and friends to bring their bathing suit and have a swimming party. Cameron Scarboro, who turned three on August 10, did just that on Saturday, August 12, at the home of her parents, Shot and Caroline Scarboro, in Statesboro.

Cam greeted guests in her cute Minnie Mouse one piece bathing suit and precious smile. The back yard was ready for entertaining, a large water slide, a slip and slide and a pool along with a tree house swing set.

Guests were invited inside for an assortment of refreshments, including chicken fingers, Cam’s favorite food. The birthday girl had changed into her black and red polka dot Minnie Mouse dress with a red bow in her hair. The dress had been worn by her mother on her third birthday. The living room was decorated in a Minnie Mouse theme with colorful Minnie Mouse balloons and a Minnie Mouse Happy Birthday banner.

Cam’s birthday cake was a delicious sheet cake decorated in white butter cream icing with pink piping with a colorful Minnie Mouse face in the center. She had the first piece with the most icing.

One of the highlights of the party was a Minnie Mouse pinata. Cam gave it all she had but had to have assistance from her friends for the final blow. The assorted candy was compliments of her maternal grandparents.

Cam received many fun and educational toys. Her favorite was a microphone and stand, a gift from her parents. She entertained her guests with her rendition of “Rock and Roll.” Cam was assisted in the present opening by five-year old brother, Cooper.

Maternal grandparents are Faith and David Copper of Eatonton. Paternal grandparents are Wanda Scarboro of Swainsboro and the late Wayne Scarboro.
