The Wiregrass Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting, Thursday night, August 10, 2023, at the New China Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. With Vice President Steve Burke Presiding, and 14 in attendance including three guests. The program began with Compatriot Burke introducing Compatriot Bernard Martin to begin the first part of Burkes program. Bernard discussed the making of "Black Powder" and the process by which he has made it. Then Compatriot Burke talked about the different Artillery pieces that have been invented and how they have been used since the early 1500's.
