Mrs. Bobbie Jean Soles, 86, of Scott, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the Emanuel County Assisted Living Center in Swainsboro. Funeral service was conducted Saturday, June 17, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with Rev. L.T. Logue, Pastor Tommy Henry and Pastor Curtis Koscheski officiating. Mrs. Soles was laid to rest beside her husband in the church cemetery. Family received friends at the church on Saturday, June 17, from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Hood, Joey Hood, Kevin Hood, Tyler Hood, Gavin Hood and Tim Lee. Honorary escorts were her caregivers from Emanuel County Nursing Home who treated her with love and compassion during her stay with them, Carmen Tanner, John Wilder Page, Stormy Clements, Latrail Sheffield, Lashaunda Frazier, Tarnea Brown and Shirley Bady.

Mrs. Bobbie was one of ten children born in Johnson County to the late Eustis Fulford and Annie Myrtle Anderson Fulford. She attended Kite High School where she was a member of the graduating Class of 1955. At the age of seventeen, Mrs. Bobbie went to work in the pants factory as a Machine Operator and continued working in the textile industry at Apparel Brand and Bill Jos until retiring in 1998. She enjoyed fishing, time spent with her large family and flower gardening. Mrs. Bobbie has been a longtime member of the Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Soles is preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Virgil Soles, who passed away in 2018; and siblings, Mable Knight, Nell Ward, Wayne Fulford, Faye Scott, Ruth Josey and Sandra Fulford.

Mrs. Soles leaves behind her children, Ann Hood (Robert) of Kite, Connie Carter (Carl) of Wrightsville, Greg Soles, Randy Soles, and Roger Soles, all of Scott; brother, Billy Fulford of Wrightsville; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
