Mr. Jameson Dion Price, 30, affectionately known as “Wang Wang” by those who knew him best, left this world and those who he loved on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Interment followed at Coleman Cemetery in Twin City. The family received friends on Friday, April 8, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

A native of Emanuel County, Jameson was born in Swainsboro on June 24, 1991, to Dean and Jan Price. He was raised in Twin City and attended Twin City Schools, graduating from Emanuel County Institute in 2009. He later moved his residency to Statesboro after his high school graduation, where he resided, worked, and attended college for many years.

To know him was to love him, for Jameson had a heart of gold that was unmatched. He loved his parents and his family as well as his baby girl, Sadie; his partner, Tosha Hawley; and his many, many friends with every ounce of his being. Jameson first met Tosha in January 2022. The two quickly fell head over heels for each other and started dating the following month on February 6.

Jameson showed his love by cooking some of the best food you’d ever eat, sending you funny things he found on the internet, giving you a call to talk for hours, or just by being an all-around goofball - doing anything he could to make you smile and laugh. Jameson was the kind of person who would drop everything and do anything to make you feel cared for, loved, and appreciated every day.

Jameson was not only kind, but also smart and well-educated. Jamerson took his education seriously. Following high school graduation, he furthered his education by attending East Georgia State College where he graduated with an Associates of Arts degree in general studies in 2014. He then transferred his studies to Georgia Southern University where he majored in Psychology with a minor in human resource management before graduating in 2016. A few years later, he enrolled himself as a student at Ogeechee Technical College where he graduated with an HVAC certificate in 2020.

Jameson was a hard worker who never turned down a challenge and took pride in a job well done. He worked in maintenance for many years with his father. Jameson also worked as a painter with John Jones in Statesboro for more than two years and worked in technical support with Technology Resource Associates of Swainsboro. His most recent employment was with Eagle Realty in Statesboro, where he resided and worked as a maintenance manager/property manager for more than 10 years after accepting the position in August 2011.

Jameson was an exceptionally gifted guitarist who could pick up any tune in seconds and would sing or rap with his friends for hours. In addition to being an avid music lover at heart, Jameson had a green thumb and a love of traveling to the beach and mountains and exploring the woods and rivers. He enjoyed spending his most recent time paddling or swimming in the Ohoopee River with Tosha and their dogs and spent many weekends gardening, riding dirt roads and enjoying life with those he loved most. When he was little, he loved to climb trees and jump in the river, even if it scared the fish away. As an adult, his love for swimming remained the same. The water was never too cold for Jameson and Sadie to swim in.

This is just a small example of what an exceptional, wonderful, and compassionate human being Jameson was to us, and each person he encountered. His love for life and for everyone within it, was contagious. He lives on in our hearts and will never be forgotten. Jameson was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Mildred Stroud; paternal grandparents, Crawford L. Price and Mildred Gloria Price; an uncle, Keith Price; aunt, Jane Price Spettell.

Survivors include his parents, Dean and Jan Price; uncles and aunts, Roy Lin and Nancy Stroud and Rickey and Sherri Price; his partner, Tosha Hawley; a special pet best friend, Sadie; a host of cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Pallbearers were Chris Clifton, Josh Brown, Chris Bond, Roy Lynn Stroud, Pawandeep Singh, and Jimmy Spettel. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Allen, Ridge Allen, Wesley Triplett, Jacob Elliott, Brannon Mason, and Robert Jobs.
