Tootle installs 2023-24 Kiwanis officers and board members

The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting and 2023-24 Installation of Officers and Board of Directors, Tuesday night, September 19, at the Rustic Grille at 7 p.m. With President Tammy Allen presiding, they had 18 in attendance. The Hersey-Bar cake, donated and baked by Petite Garrett, was won by Petite Garrett. The Domino’s pizza donated by Domino's Pizza was won by Trish Tootle. Petite Garrett presented the member spotlight for tonight, President Tammy Allen. Born in Covington, Kentucky, she graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger, KY. Her hobbies include reading Disney blogs, baking, and doing crafts. She also enjoys watching “Poldark” and “Outlander” and her favorite candy bar is a Reese’s peanut butter cup. President Tammy thanked the club for this year and recognized Wanda Ellis as Kiwanian-of-the-Year and retiring Treasurer Travis Garrett for his 10 years of club service. She gave “President’s Measurably More Than a Member” awards to Dianna Wedincamp, Petite Garrett, Gary Couse, Sondra Fortner, Cheryl Goodman and Tim Goodman. Tim Goodman presented 2022-2023 Perfect Attendance awards to Tammy Allen, Gary Couse, Cheryl Goodman, and Tim Goodman and a Kiwanis Legion of Honor award to Jim Daughtry as an active 30-year Kiwanian. Division 17 Lt. Governor Trish Tootle installed the 2023-2024 board and officers. She began by thanking Jeffery Brewer, Jim Clapham, Jane Durden, Travis Garrett, Tracy Mason, and Dianna Wedincamp for their service as they are leaving the board, installed the 2023-2024 Directors Cassie McIntyre, Sondra Fortner, Gary Howard, Wanda Ellis, Bobbie Daughtry, Scotty Hattaway, Cayla Scarboro, and Dess Smith and installed the 2023-2024 officers, Tim Goodman as Secretary, David Gribbin as Treasurer, Gary Couse as President-Elect, Paul Cerpovicz as Vice President, Tammy Allen as Immediate Past President and Cheryl Goodman as President. Past President Tammy gave President Cheryl her President’s pin and President Cheryl gave Tammy her Past President’s pin."
