In the month of July, The Forest-Blade honored our local four-legged friends by publishing a
competition called ‘The Dog Cause’, where seven entries were submitted to be considered for a cash prize, a winning title and a 50lb bag of dog food. To enter the contest, each contestant had to submit the required information and a small fee of $5.00, and each proceed was donated to the Emanuel County Animal Shelter. Ms. Patsy Thompson was notified that ‘Rebel Rudy’ was the 2023 ‘Dog Cause’ winner, and she donated all the winnings to the Animal Shelter.
