During the week of April 27-May 1, Family Connection assisted in the STEAM classes at Swainsboro Primary School with a fun cooking class to further their learning about earthworms. Tammy Allen, Family Connection Coordinator, helped teach the kindergarten classes on how to make "Worms in Dirt".
In Ms. Keri Claxton's STEAM classes, students were able to have a hands-on activity making pudding, crushing Oreos and placing gummy worms in the "mud" to remind them of the facts they had learned about earthworms. Of course, the class had a yummy ending by eating the habitat treat.
