October 10

Officer was dispatched to Kite Road in reference to a helicopter landing.

911 dispatched officers to Howarth Drive in reference to two males fighting, with one reportedly attempting to stab the other with a knife. Upon arrival, officer observed a man walking from a neighboring residence appearing to seek help. He then saw another man approaching behind him with a knife. After drawing their weapons, officers were able to get the subject to drop the knife. Offender was placed under arrest. It was also discovered that the offender had active warrants out of Toombs County.

Officers responded to JAG Probation Officer in reference to a probationer with an active arrest warrant who was also reported to be in possession of narcotics. Offender was arrested.

Officer responded to Oaklawn Drive in reference to a general alarm.

Officer responded to Dollar General for an irate customer. Upon arrival, the offender had already left the store, but an employee stated that every time the offender comes in, and a certain employee is working, the offender becomes irate. A trespass warrant will be taken out.

October 11

Officer was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Industrial Way and East Main Street. The offender was found to have a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from him and bloodshot/glassy eyes. After issuing a field sobriety test, offender was arrested for DUI.

Officers responded to South Main Street for a General Alarm.

Officer responded to Huddle House in reference to a 911 hang up call. An employee stated that he called due to a female customer inside the restaurant that was asleep and would not wake up. The call was ended when the woman woke up.

911 dispatched officers to Old Nunez Road in reference to a welfare check. C/p was on the scene on arrival and stated that the subject had a breathing problem and he was worried she had experienced a medical episode. The door was unlocked, and the woman was located on the floor between the bed and the wall. She was transported to EMC.

Officer responded to Northside Beverage in reference to a fraudulent transaction. C/p stated that he lost his wallet the night before and noticed transactions that he did not make on his banking app. The offender was located and arrested.

Officers responded to Richard Street in reference to a dispute between neighbors. C/p stated that the offender had been previously arrested, and she was told she was not allowed to come back on her property. When the neighbor was on her property, she called 911.

Officers were dispatched to Project Street in reference to a dispute involving two males refusing to leave a residence. Offender was located and arrested.

October 12

911 dispatched officers to North Coleman Street in reference to a disturbance involving two males arguing and one threatening to attack the other. All parties were separated.

October 13

Officer responded to Curtis Street in reference to a thirty-year-old male having a schizophrenic episode. Offender was taken for evaluation and later arrested.

Officers were dispatched to West Church Street in reference to the caller stated that she received a text message from a man stated he was going to harm himself. After negative contact at the scene, the man texted again and said he was getting some fresh air and was not going to harm himself.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with occupants not wearing a seatbelt. There was an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and marijuana was located. Citations were issued.

Officer was dispatched to French Street in reference to a reported theft. C/p advised that earlier that morning, Swainsboro Fire responders arrived at the residence for a medical emergency involving the subject. After they left, c/p checked the subject’s pocketbook and discovered that she had credit cards and cash missing.

October 14

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that he had just left the furniture store where they advised that two student loans had been taken out from his account.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to a theft. C/p stated that she was contacted via Facebook Messenger by an unknown individual stating that she was eligible for a refund he advised that in order to receive the refund, she would need to provide her bitcoin information. She sent a large amount of money and later became suspicious and filed a report.

Officer took a report at SPD in reference to a stolen firearm. C/p stated that he parked his car at his girlfriend’s house the night before and left his firearm in it. He checked it the next morning and the firearm was gone.

Officer took a report from c/p who stated that he left work and was driving near the intersection os Mable Avenue and South Green Street, when he noticed a juvenile clutching what appeared to be a handgun. He told the juvenile that he would give him $20 if he would give him the gun, and he wanted to turn it in to police. Officer was dispatched to Lane Storage in reference to a female being harassed by a male subject. C/p stated that she asked the male to paint her house in exchange for payment, but she was not able to pay him yet, and he was threatening her. All parties were separated.

Officer was dispatched to Warren Avenue in reference to the caller stating he had a busted window at his residence. There was negative contact with anyone on arrival.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a strong odor of marijuana coming from it and was also driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Offender was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Officer was dispatched to Old Nunez Road in reference to the female caller stating that she wanted a male subject removed from her residence. All parties were separated.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was going 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. It was found there was no insurance or registration on the vehicle and citations were issued.

October 15

Officer responded to Lindsey Road in reference to a subject beating on a window. Negative contact was made with any individual.

Officers responded to Friendly Way due to c/p stating they had two weed eaters stolen. He later advised that his friends moved the weed eaters and didn’t tell him.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that someone he didn’t know created a $5,000 check and took the money out of his account.

C/p came to SPD to report a dispute. He stated that while delivering FedEx packages, he was confronted by offender who was cursing at him. When offender gave an account of the incident, he stated that the FedEx truck almost hit his vehicle.

Officer was at SPD and was informed there was a subject in the rear parking lot who wanted to make a report. She stated that another vehicle had struck hers and the other driver was extremely rude and left the scene.

October 16

Officer responded to Electric Drive in reference to a dispute between the shop owner and a customer. C/p stated that he did some work on the offender’s vehicle and that he was having issues after the repair. He further stated that the current issue appears to be a new problem unrelated to the previous repair.

Officers were dispatched to Shepard Drive in reference to a stolen refrigerator. It was determined nothing was stolen. Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no insurance. The driver was also found to have a suspended license. The female fled the scene and the vehicle was towed.

Officer responded to Prosperity Drive to assist Emanuel County EMS with a deceased male.

Officer was assisting a disabled vehicle on Kite Road when a gunshot was heard.
