New signage now marks the City of Swainsboro recognizing Swainsboro High School's 2020 AA Boys Basketball team members and coaches for their state champion title win.
The Swainsboro Varsity Tigers Boys team competed in the 2020 state championship game against Therell. The Tiger team came out with a remarkable 69-65 and finished the season with a 30-2 record, having won 17 games that year.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, signage for the team was delayed until current day. As of January, the varsity team finally received their deserved recognition when signage finally made placement in the city limits honoring the team for their accomplishments.
