Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department’s (SECRD) 10U Boys Allstar Baseball Team played in the Georgia and Recreation and Park Association Youth Baseball 10 and Under State Tournament June 23 – June 24 in Americus. Played at Sumter Regional Park, the tournament was hosted by Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department.
Swainsboro-Emanuel faced Mitchell County in their first game of the tournament June 23. They defeated Mitchell County, 6-1, but lost their next game to St. Simons. Swainsboro-Emanuel played Sumter County the following day. Final score was Sumter County-8, Swainsboro-Emanuel-2.
Playing for the 10U Allstar Team are Chase Banks, Greysn Bargeron, Devin Cuyler, Ashton David, Jeffery Davis, Peyton Deriso, Maddux Hendrix, Kaden Johnson, Elijah Sapp, William Self, Kayden Sutherland and Gavin Worthen. Coaches are Hugh Hendrix, Tim Bargeron and Mike Buxton.
