On Saturday, January 27, the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its Annual Conference at the Sonesta Hotel in Duluth. The conference was a two-day meeting of members and wives from all over The Georgia Society and other states to recognize outstanding service by its members and Chapters. Fall Line President Sandy Mercer from Sandersville was recognized and awarded the "Lafayette Volunteer Service Medal" in recognition of volunteer services on behalf of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution National Headquarters. The certificate was signed by John Dodd, Esq., President General.
