GOURD BIRDHOUSE WORKSHOP TO BE HELD
A make and take gourd birdhouse workshop, led by local gourd artist Sandy McGurn, will be held this Saturday, February 18, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Main Street Market at the Boneyard. Instruction and supplies are included in the $10 fee. McGurn is the President of the Georgia Gourd Society and has won many awards for her artwork including baskets and gourds. Her work is available in the Main Street Market at the Boneyard.
BICENTENNIAL LOGO REVEALED
At its regular January meeting, the Emanuel County Board of Commissioners approved an official bicentennial logo design. The logo was developed by the Historic Society and a local company, Waters Designs. The Theme is “Celebrating 200 of shared Heritage”.
