The Wiregrass Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, held its monthly meeting on Thursday night, July 11, at McKinney Pond's Restaurant in Midville. With President Steve Burke presiding, they had 26 in attendance. President Steve called on Chaplain Emory Fennell to give the invocation, led the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the Pledge to the Sons of the American Revolution. President Steve discussed what the Chapter had been involved in the past 30 days and also the upcoming events. President Steve then called on Registrar Dess Smith III to introduce the speaker for the evening. Dess introduced Veteran Laura Howard who presented her program on "Women’s Contribution to the Military and Country". President Steve then called on Chaplain Emory to say the benediction and led the Sons of the American Revolution Recessional.
