Franklin Memorial Library would like to announce the events for August 14 - 19. These activities cater to a diverse audience, from veterans to toddlers, and everyone in between. On August 7th at 9:30 a.m., the library hosted a special Veteran's Breakfast. This event is a token of gratitude to all the heroes who have served our nation. It is a chance to gather, share stories, and enjoy a meal amongst fellow service members and women. Following breakfast, at 11 a.m., was the Military Records Genealogy Class. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for those interested in tracing their military heritage. Discover more about your ancestors' service, their journey, and the role they played in shaping history. For our younger patrons, Kids Anime Club will meet on August 17 at 4 p.m. This is a welcoming space for children to explore the vibrant world of anime, share their favorite series, and make new friends. On August 18 at 10:30 a.m., the library opens its doors for Toddler Time. This gathering is for babies and children not yet attending school. It is a wonderful chance for them to explore the world of books, play, and learn in a safe, nurturing environment. On August 19, Franklin Memorial Library invites all adults to join a special craft session at 10:30 a.m. This event promotes creativity, social engagement, and the joy of creating something with your own hands.

In addition to these events, Franklin Memorial Library is also committed to supporting students in their academic journey. FML is all about extending a hand with schoolwork. With a vast collection of books and internet-enabled computers, the library is a resourceful hub for all your study needs. These events underscore Franklin Memorial Library's commitment to fostering a sense of community, promoting lifelong learning, and offering diverse resources and activities for all ages.
