Four sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court January 2022 term:

Sheena Vinette Huston non-negotiated a plea of guilty on two counts homicide by vehicle and one count serious injury by vehicle. She was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 30 years, with the first two years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. Upon service of two years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence.

Walter Allen Hall negotiated a plea of guilty on one count failure to register. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 30 years, with the first five years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. Upon service of five years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-1(c).

Charles Allan Weaver negotiated a plea of guilty on one count possession of methamphetamine. He was fined $50 and sentenced to three years probation. Weaver received credit for time served in custody from 8/8/21 to present. This sentence may be served on probation provided that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-1(c).

Under an additional criminal action number, Weaver negotiated a plea of guilty on one count possession of methamphetamine, one count driving without license, one count expired tag and one count driving wrong way on a one-way roadway. The defendant is adjudged guilty or sentenced under First Offender/Condtional Discharge for the above-stated offense(s); the Court sentences the defendant to confinement in such institution as the Commissioner of the State Department of Corrections may direct, with the period of confinement to be computed as provided by law. For this, Weaver was fined $250 and sentenced to a total of three years probation. Weaver also received credit for time served in custody from 5/8/21 to 6/14/21. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-1(c).

Kenneth Scott negotiated a plea of guilty on one count statutory rape and one count child molestation. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 40 years, with the first 30 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Upon service of 30 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence.
