Five sentenced in Emanuel County Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court October 2022 and November 2022 terms:

October 2022

Brandon Jermaine Armstrong was found guilty by jury verdict on one count possession of marijuana with intent with to distribute. He was fined $1,000 and sentenced to a 10-year probation term. He pled nolo on driving with suspended license and was sentenced to 12 months probation. Armstrong was sentenced to a total of 10 years to be served on probation.

John Elbert Fleming, a repeat offender as imposed, was found guilty by jury verdict on one count possession of meth with the intent to distribute. He was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 30 years with 10 years to serve. He was found guilty of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and sentenced to five years probation. He was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and sentenced to ten years to serve. Fleming is sentenced to 35 years with the first 10 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation.

Nicole Gregory was found guilty-Alford for possession of meth. She was fined $1,000 with 3 years, 8 months in jail, RSAT suspension for rehab. She was found guilty-Alford for possession of marijuana and sentenced to 12 months probation. She was found guilty-Alford for possession of drug related object and sentenced to 12 months probation. She was found guilty-Alford for driving on suspended registration and sentenced to 12 months probation. Gregory was sentenced to a total of 3 years with the first 8 months to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. She is to receive credit for time served in custody from 3/18/22.

Richard Justin Lumpkin was found guilty by jury verdict on one count of terroristic threats. He was fined $50 with 5 years probation. Lumpkin is to receive credit for the time served from 12/30/21.

November 2022

Tommy Lee Watson Jr. was found guilty-Alford for possession of meth. He was sentenced to three years probation with credit for time served. He was found guilty of fleeing/attempting to elude and sentenced to 12 months probation. He was found guilty of obstruction and sentenced to 12 months probation. He was found guilty of driving under the influence. He was fined $500 and sentenced to 12 months probation. Watson was sentenced for a total of 3 years to be served on probation. He is to receive credit for time served from 9/10/22. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of his sentence.
