Emanuel County Schools joined together on Monday, October 6, to recognize National Bullying Prevention Month with a districtwide Blue Out Day. Students and staff across all campuses wore blue to show unity against bullying and to promote a culture of kindness.
Classrooms, hallways, and school offices were filled with shades of blue as part of this national effort to raise awareness about bullying prevention. The event emphasized the importance of respect, compassion, and unity in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
“Blue Out Day is a simple but powerful reminder that we all have a role in preventing bullying,” said Jamie Johnson, counselor at Swainsboro High School. “When we come together as a community, we send a clear message that kindness and respect matter.”
Emanuel County Schools remain dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive community. Throughout October and beyond, the district will continue introducing impactful activities and initiatives that encourage positive behavior, support inclusivity, and help all students build meaningful and supportive relationships.
