According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…

July 1

Victim stated suspect is constantly calling and texting her with threatening messages stating he threatened to kill her and her family. Victim also stated suspect has also hit her and held her at gunpoint.

July 12

Complainant stated that the offender has sent her threatening text messages and has also slandered her name on social media.

July 17

Complainant stated that her boss sent her a check from a business loan for $8,700 and told her to cash it and give her $5,000 back. Once the funds were received, the complainant changed her mind and would send her $2,000 instead. The boss tried to go to the bank that the account is in and get money out.

Victim struck a deer, causing disabling damage to the vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to a call in reference to a victim complaining about the offender running a cord from the victim’s well and was stealing power from him. 

July 20

Officer received a report from complainant stating her daughter’s boyfriend had abused her 5-year-old grandson.

July 21

Complainant stated they saw two young males walking with a BB gun down Kemp Rd. Complainant later saw that the windshield of the vehicle had a hole in it, the passenger side back glass was shot out, and the tailgate was shot as well.

July 22

Deputies were dispatched to Old Nunez Road in reference to a deer hitting a vehicle. Vehicle had to be towed due to the radiator leaking, and damage to the passenger side and hood.         

Complainant stated her table, chairs, and umbrella were thrown into her pool.

July 23

Officer responded to Old Wadley Road in reference to victim stating he was sitting on a mattress that was being taken to the dump and air got under it causing it to rise and throw him to the roadway, causing road rash. Victim was flown to Augusta.

Complainant stated a dump truck passed him on a bridge and threw a rock into his windshield, causing a chip in the glass.

July 24

Victim stated he discovered his chainsaw missing from his porch and believes he knows who possibly stole it. 

Complainant called the sheriff’s office and stated an offender was making the victim spend all his money on house renovations and the victim is not right in his mind enough to know any better.

Complainant filed a report in reference to someone stealing her unemployment debit card information and has made several transactions taking well over $1,200 off her card.

Complainant stated someone used her credit card to purchase $87.48 worth of merchandise. 

July 25

Officer was dispatched to the bypass and Highway 57 in reference to someone’s vehicle being shot. Upon arrival, the victim stated he had a flat tire and left the vehicle parked beside the road and when he returned to get it, someone had shot it with a shotgun, causing major damage.

Offender was taken into custody without incident due to a 10-13 order issued by the probate judge.

July 26

Victim stated he was doing some work on an apartment in his complex and left for a short while and returned to find some items were missing.
