April 3

Deputy was dispatched to WalMart for a vehicle unlock. Vehicle was unlocked without damage.

Motorist was assisted with a vehicle unlock on 7th St.

Deputy responded to Miller Dr. in reference to a locked vehicle. Vehicle was unlocked without damage.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 56 North in reference to a single rollover with ejections. GSP was requested for investigation. Victim was flown to Augusta for treatment.

Complainant struck a deer on Hwy 80 East causing minor damage.

Motorist was assisted with a vehicle unlock on Calhoun St.

Complainant struck a vehicle while attempting an improper turn.

April 4

Deputies responded to an address on Woodpecker Trail in reference to an alarm call. Upon arrival Deputies made contact with the resident and determined everything to be secure.

Deputy met with the complainant at the Sheriff's Office in reference to a lost license plate registered to listed vehicle. A report was made for the purposes of obtaining another license plate per Emanuel County Registration Office.

Deputy talked with the complainant over the phone who stated that a friend sent her a link to receive money but first she had to buy an Apple Card worth $500.00 and send it to a company called International Development Association, before she could receive the funds. After complainant sent this card to them, they sent back a request for more money and the complainant then realized that it was a scam. Complainant stated that she needed to file a report to get her money back.

Deputy responded to Dollar Tree in reference to a locked White Buick car. Upon arrival vehicle was unlocked in front of owner with no damage.

Deputy was called to a location on Highway 121 in reference to a theft. After arriving on scene, the victim stated that he went there to retrieve the missing equipment but noticed that it was gone when he arrived. After investigating further, the deputy found fresh tracks that were made by the equipment being pulled from the building to a vehicle which also left tracks. After following the tracks further, he discovered that the vehicle pulled off with the item and left in the direction of Jenkins County. The missing equipment was entered as stolen, and the investigation is still ongoing. April 5

An employee of a local electrical company stated that on two different occasions the suspects power meter was damaged. He further stated that the suspect, who is the power customer, stated that his neighbor did the damage. The employee further stated that he just wanted the incident documented at this time.

Deputy responded to a location on Overstreet Road in reference to a vehicle speeding. Upon arrival, the complainant stated that a neon green Camaro drives by her house daily at a high rate of speed and on that occasion hit and injured her cat. The complainant further stated that she discovered someone has spray-painted an arrow in front of her mailbox and since, vehicles have begun racing at that location.

Deputy responded to a location within Emanuel County in reference to a theft. Upon arrival the complainant stated that the driver of her vehicle had parked the vehicle at the location but when she went to retrieve it, she discovered many items missing. The complainant advised that the owner of the location has been watching the vehicle for her and a few weeks ago noticed that the vehicles lights were on. After inspecting further, he discovered that four batteries were stolen as well as binders and chains from the outside compartment and also all the fuel was taken out. The complainant removed the vehicle from the property and took it back to her company lot. No other items have been reported missing at this time.

Deputy took a report in reference to a nuisance animal.

April 7

Deputy was dispatched to I16 in reference to a brush fire.

Deputy was dispatched to Ed Youmans Rd. in reference to a welfare check. GCAL advised offender stated she wished to cause harm to herself and had three children in the residence with her. Deputy arrived to find the residence had been vacant for appx. two years, according to family members. Subjects in the area were also not familiar with the female in question. Previous reports with offender’s name indicated her to reside on New Street. Contact was made with offender who advised she was ok at the time and did not want to harm herself and the children were advised to be fine as well. Offender stated she had not been taking her meds for mental health issues and stated she was making arrangements to see her doctor.

Deputy was dispatched to Pendleton Springs Rd. in reference to an animal collision. Complainant stated she hit a deer, causing moderate damage.

Deputy was dispatched to Nordson in reference to a vehicle unlock. Vehicle was unlocked with no damage.

Deputy assisted EMS with gaining access to a residence where a family member was not available to make contact with a sick resident. Contact was made and she was transported to EMC.

Deputy responded to Industrial Way in reference to a locked vehicle. Vehicle was unlocked with no damage.

Deputy was dispatched to Price Williams Rd. in reference to a burglary. Complainant stated someone had been in his daughter’s room. C/p stated his daughter moved out seven days prior and he knows she is the one that went into the house. C/p also stated his daughter knew they weren’t home and she did not have permission to be in the house or take anything.

Deputy was dispatched to Redbud Ave. in reference to threats. C/p stated she allows offender to cut hair at her house and the deal was for offender to be done by 6 p.m. and c/p arrived home around 9 p.m. and offender was still doing hair. C/p stated she told offender that was not the agreement and that she needed to finish and leave and offender started yelling and arguing with her so she made her leave. C/p stated that’s when offender got on Facebook live and made threats to kill her juvenile daughter and beat her up. C/p advised she wants to press charges.

Deputy responded to Daisy Ln. in reference to an altercation that had already occurred.

April 8

Deputies were dispatched to Margueritte Dr. in reference to a residential alarm. All doors and windows were checked with no signs of tamper or forced entry.

Deputies were dispatched to Stagecoach Rd. in reference to a suspicious person.

Motorist was assisted with a locked vehicle.

Deputies responded to Advantage Ln. in reference to an abandoned vehicle that was found in the ditch.

April 9

Deputy responded to Buckwill Dr. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated her daughter and son-in-law were in the bedroom and she heard banging and thumps. C/p stated she made contact with them and they said everything was ok but her daughter was crying. Deputy made entrance into the residence and made contact with the daughter who stated everything was good and it was just a misunderstanding. Deputy made contact with offender who stated the same thing.

Deputy stopped a vehicle for failure to maintain lane.

Deputies were dispatched to McCorkle Ln. in reference to an intoxicated female trying to drive off from the residence. Offender was in the vehicle and stated she and her boyfriend had been in a verbal altercation and advised she was sitting in the vehicle to separate from him while they calmed down but had not intentions of leaving.

Deputy was contacted by SPD in reference to ap private property crash. Complainant stated he was backing out of a parking spot and struck another vehicle, causing minor damages.

Deputy was dispatched to I16 to assist a motorist.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 1 North.

April 10

Deputy responded to Hwy 80 West in reference to an animal collision. Complainant stated he hit a deer, causing extensive damage to his vehicle.

Deputy assisted SPD with a fleeing vehicle.

Complainant stated he hit a deer on Old Nunez Rd. causing minor damge to his vehicle.
