October 9

Deputy responded to Odomville Church Rd. to assist Adrian Fire Dept. with a tractor trailer that caught fire.

Deputy met with complainant and witness at ECSO where c/p stated offender has a drug problem and keeps taking drugs to their house around their kids. C/p wants to evict offender but discovered that since it’s not his house and he rents, the landlord would have to evict offender. Witness stated after offender goes to the bathroom and stays for a while, she finds cellophane packages with clear rock and brownish color stuff in it. Witness stated she has actually caught offender in the bathroom smoking drugs before and offender is currently on probation.

Deputy took a report regarding a truck not being returned after offender failed to pay the agreed amount for it. Complainant stated he had an agreement with offender to buy his truck and agreed to pay the loan at Title Max of $4,200 and $2,000 for the transmission to be able to purchase the truck. C/p stated that while he was in jail, offender went to c/p’s father’s house and he agreed to let offender get the truck and he would give him the money when he got it. C/p stated it has been over a month and offender has not paid him or the loan. C/p stated offender texted c/p’s father saying he was going to return the truck but has yet to do so.

October 10

Deputies, along with GDC K9 Unit and SPD unit assisted Toombs Co. SO with the search and apprehension of two suspects. During the investigation, ECSO deputies made contact with one suspect that led to a foot chase. At that point, deputies engaged the suspect into a stand-off during which time the suspect would not comply with deputies to show both hands and would make multiple suicidal statements. After several minutes of dialogue, Chief Deputy was able to negotiate the surrender of the suspect and he was taken into custody. Suspect was later turned over to Toombs Co. SO. Upon further investigation, a continued search of the second suspect was attempted and after appx. three hours, the search was called off.

October 11

Deputies assisted EMS with a call of a passenger of a tractor having a seizure on I16. The patient was actively seizing, and the deputy was able to get him out of the tractor and lay him on his side. EMS arrived and stabilized the patient for transport and deputies escorted EMS from the location to EMC ER.

Deputy responded to Whippoorwill Rd. in reference to complainant wanting to secure the residence and dogs being left at the property. Complainant stated the previous tenant of the property had been evicted and a writ of possession had been served and she went to check on it and two dogs were there. AC1 was contacted to pick them up.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where c/p stated her vehicle was repossessed from N. Racetrack St. and she was attempting to register a new vehicle with her military tag that was affixed to the vehicle. C/p stated she has moved to a new residence in Bulloch Co. where she is trying to register her vehicle and needed to have the previously noted tag registered to c/p’s new vehicle.

Complainant went to ECSO to make a report in reference to someone opening a credit card in her name. She stated she has been served by a deputy with a paper stating she is being sued by the financial company for not making any payments on the account and wants ECSO to investigate the incident.

October 12

Deputies were dispatched to Friendship Church Rd. in reference to a domestic dispute.

Deputy spoke with complainant by phone for a report of damage to property. C/p stated her neighbor dug a ditch between his pond and c/p’s, causing c/p’s property to be flooded. C/p knew damages to include a power utility pole being knocked down and would be at the location on Saturday to assess the entirety of the damages.

Deputies assisted Holsonback Rentals with a writ of possession on W. 3rd Ave. in Stillmore.

Deputies were dispatched t Hwy 80 West in reference to a tree in the road.

Deputy responded to Cattle Dr. in reference to some dogs killing livestock. Complainant showed deputy to the barn where two dogs were found. C/p stated he had been away from the residence for a few days and upon returning, he found the dogs along with eleven dead goats. One dog had a collar with a wireless fence module but neither had any identifying tags. Both appeared to be malnourished and unkept. AC1 was notified and took possession of the dogs.

Deputy took a report via phone in reference to vehicle damage. Complainant stated she slid off the road due to terrible road conditions and got stuck, causing damages to her vehicle.

October 13

Deputy spoke with complainant who stated he lost his wallet that had his license, credit card and SS card in it, as well as other ID cards.

Deputy responded to the Dept. of Community Supervision for a male subject who had an active warrant for a probation violation. Offender was taken into custody and transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputies responded to Harrington St. in reference to a structure fire. Heavy smoke was coming from the front door and deputies secured the scene and verified no one was inside the residence. Emanuel Fire arrived and deputies assisted with traffic control.

Deputy received a report at ECSO in reference to a theft. Complainant advised he let offender go to the store for him a few times and discovered several discrepancies on his bank statement. C/p advised his cell phone was stolen a few days prior and he had his bank app and Cashapp on his phone and noticed the transactions without authorization totaling $234.50.

Deputy met with complainant at ECSO where c/p stated he bought a wedding ring set and gave it to offender with plans of getting married and the couple has broken up and c/p asked for the rings back and offender has not given them back.

Deputies responded to Friendship Church Rd. in reference to the caller being padlocked out of her residence. Complainant stated offender is known to ride around in a work vehicle while unlicensed and is also known to have a large caliber rifle and is a convicted felon. While speaking with c/p, a vehicle pulled into the yard and c/p stated the male subject was the offender. Deputy spoke with the offender and asked for his license, and he presented an ID card. Deputy advised offender he handed him an ID card and offender stated he’s never had a driver’s license. Deputy ran offender’s info to find he was unlicensed and then asked him about the rifle in the truck. Offender stated he did have one and that it was loaded. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

October 14

Deputy responded to Red Bud Ave. in reference to a prowler. Complainant stated her grandson woke her up stating he heard rustling and voices outside his bedroom window. Deputies walked the area but did not locate any sign or evidence of someone outside the residence.

Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 192 in reference to a MVA and made contact with the first responder who stated he woke up and found a message advising him there was a car in his front yard that seemed to have been wrecked. Complainant then went outside to find a vehicle appeared to have run off the road and went in his yard so he radioed 911 and attempted to make contact with the driver but the driver would not wake up so after several attempts, he was about to break the window when the driver woke up and unlocked the door. C/p stated the driver seemed to be intoxicated. Deputy opened the back door of the vehicle and could smell marijuana and began trying to speak with the driver, but he would hardly speak with him and would only give slight answers and hand gestures. Deputy could also smell alcoholic beverage and observed an open bottle in the center console. Deputies were then able to have offender move things in the passenger seat where he began to crawl out of the passenger side. Deputy was advised to place offender in handcuffs due to a possible firearm and he was searched, and a handgun was found in his front pocket. While searching the vehicle, marijuana was found. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputies responded to Old Swainsboro Rd. in Twin City in reference to a domestic dispute. After speaking with both parties, it was determined that the nature of the complaint was based on the male subject’s substance abuse. Male subject acknowledged he had a drinking problem and would continue to do what he does. Both parties were separated for the night.

Deputy took a report in reference to harassing communication. Complainant stated her estranged husband has been calling, texting and leaving harassing messages for her all day and night and wants him to stop harassing her.

October 15

Deputies responded to Red Oak Dr. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated offender took her vehicle all night and had another female in her vehicle. C/p advised she called the female and told her not to be in her car and offender got upset. C/p then advised offender jumped on her and she wants him out of her house. Offender advised they were just arguing, and he was in the process of packing his stuff. C/p’s mother arrived and stated offender didn’t hit c/p and it’s always an ongoing issue between them.

Complainant stated he approached the intersection of Corinth Church Rd. and Foskey Rd. when he observed another vehicle pulling a long trailer attempting to turn on Corinth Church Rd. C/p stated he attempted to move his vehicle over to give the truck room to turn and his right front tire went down in the ditch.

Deputy responded to Quick Loop Rd. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputy could detect sounds of distress from outside the back door of the residence at which point he entered into the residence and located both subjects in a heated argument. It was determined that the dispute ensued over money when the female found out the male spent his payroll check gambling over the weekend.
