ECI FBLA holds awards ceremony

ECI FBLA gathered to honor outstanding members in an end-of-year awards program held in the cafeteria at the school. The evening kicked off with dinner catered by Simply Southern. After lunch Mrs. Stefanie Mason, Emanuel County Schools CTAE Director, delivered the keynote address. Mrs. Mason discussed the importance of building your resume. She talked about the ways to do this by joining a Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) and the importance of community service.
Then FBLA officers began by enlightening the group on the different conferences that members attended this year. Mrs. Jessica Smith, adviser then presented awards to outstanding students that have excelled in competitions throughout this year.
Officers conducting the ceremony were Catarina Wilson, Andrea Pullen, Kati-Brooke Hooks, Taylor Radford, Breana Librizzi, Destiny Akridge, Alaya Hudson, Lily Kate Robertson, as well as adviser Mrs. Jessica Smith.
Special guest included Board of Education Member Tanya Lane, CTAE Director Stefanie Mason, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Learning Toni Terwilliger, ECI Principal Anetria Edenfield, and ECI Assistant Principal Brooke Frye.
