David Emanuel Academy’s junior varsity girls’ basketball team played an outstanding game against Statesboro’s Trinity Christian School on January 9, in which they defeated TCS 32-15. Rayleigh Faircloth began the game using tough defense giving her the leverage to score the first 2 points for the Eagles. Aubrey Scott followed with an 8-point play, putting DEA on top. Scout Hall came in with a 4-point shot before Kaley Flowers secured another 4 points for the Eagles. Emily McRae then brought in 2 points for her play. Bailey McNure followed with a 4-point shot and Payton Peebles finished the game strong with 8 points, besting Trinity Christian and capturing the win.
