DEA Eagles defeat FPCA Highlanders, scoring twelve runs in the first inning

Kyli Bell collected three hits in three at bats, as David Emanuel Academy Varsity Lady Eagles defeated First Preparatory Christian Academy Varsity Highlanders 18-1 on Tuesday, September 24. Bell singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning. The Lady Eagles won, thanks in part to 12 runs in the first inning. Aubrey Scott singled, scoring one run, Kaley Flowers doubled, scoring two runs, Bailey McNure singled, scoring one run, a passed ball scored two runs, Emily McRae singled, scoring one run, Bell singled, scoring one run, Scott singled, scoring one run, Flowers tripled, scoring two runs, and McNure grounded out, scoring one run. David Emanuel Academy added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Bell singled, scoring one run, Katie Boggs induced Scott to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and an error scored two runs. The Eagles extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third, thanks to RBI singles by Bell and Scott. McNure earned the win for DEA. David Emanuel Academy Varsity Lady Eagles 2024 tallied 17 hits in the game. Bell and Scott were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for the Eagles. Flowers provided a pop in the middle of the lineup and led David Emanuel Academy Varsity Lady Eagles with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Payton Peebles and McRae each collected multiple hits for DEA. Bell, Peebles, and Scott each stole multiple. The Lady Eagles ran wild on the base paths, collecting nine stolen bases for the game.
